During the course of an ongoing lawsuit by SI Group Limited and SI Chemical (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. ("SI") against Sino Legend (Zhangjiagang) Co., Ltd. in the Shanghai Second Intermediate People's Court, an independent appraisal of technical information relating to relevant patent and trade secret disputes was delivered to both parties on May 20, 2013. The Court then issued a summons for a two-day trial to be begin May 29.
 
Subsequently, during a pre-trial hearing on May 28, attorneys for SI abruptly applied to withdraw its lawsuit. Following an immediate review by the Court, the presiding judge ruled that SI’s request would not be granted according to PRC Civil Procedure Law. In addition, SI was warned that should it refuse to appear for the trial, it would bear adverse consequences.
 
Despite the fair warning from the Court, SI did not appear for trial as instructed on May 29.  The trial took place as dictated by the court.  We expect a ruling in the case very soon.
